1. Technology can help us get information/communicate with others.
2. We need a uniform system to describe where places are in the world.
3. Each location in the world can be described using longitude and latitude lines.
4. Longitude and Latitude help determine geographic location.
Objective: The HHG Tributes of 2018 will be able to locate historical locations using lines of longitude and latitude.

Log in to your chromebook, and find the lesson for the day on Today’s Tribute Training.
Task 2-- Do Now: Scroll to Today's comment below and answer the following question:
Besides maps, how do people understand where to go or how to find different locations?
Task 3: One of the ways you communicate to me your understanding of the material is through homework. Most days, the first thing you will do is submit homework if you have not already. Close your computer and track Ms. Kelly while she reviews homework expectations.
- Homework completion will be checked at 6:45 each morning.
- Students who have not submitted an electronic version by this time must bring a paper copy to Breakfast, show it to their homeroom teacher and request to use a chrome book to submit their homework properly.
- There will be limited time for students who have paper copies to enter their homework electronically. Any homework submitted after 7:29 will be considered late and must fill out a late/missing homework request.
Step 3: Track the video clip from Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego.
Step 4: Track Ms. Kelly as she explains how to play the Longitude and Latitude game.
Step 5: After learning how to play, start playing :). (During this time, Ms. Kelly is going to come around to help students who have not yet bookmarked their pages, put in their contacts, or emailed Ms. Kelly, to do so).
Step 6: Participate in the Summarizer activity where we play pin the Yoda on the Villain. This is an activity that we are going to complete together.
