A link to today's handout can be found here!

As you already know, during the 1500s,Europe was undergoing dramatic changes. The Renaissance was under way. During the Renaissance, great advances were made in art, writing, and education. And if this wasn't huge in and of itself, there was also the Protestant Reformation (Revolution) which set off an avalanche of radical new religious and political ideas. All of this set the stage for a revolution in thinking in another domain-- Science!
