Winter Break Project-- District 4: Countries of Africa

Welcome to Panem.
Rising from the ashes of what once was, the all-powerful Capitol rules over the 12 Districts spread across North America. This year the KAO Tributes of 2018 have been chosen during the Reaping, and knowing the history of world, knowing the patterns of civilizations, economies, politics and even geography is the difference between surviving to and through college.
You will now have the honor of representing your homeroom in the annual History Hunger Games. You will be trained in the art of data analysis, predication and prescription. You will do battle with the 101 other tributes—your teammates. The other homerooms are fierce and will do anything for the honor and glory that comes with winning the History Hunger Games, so you are going to work hard and become an expert in your country!

Task Checklist:
As per the History Hunger Games, you must:

r Research your assigned country.
r Analyze the data and evaluate
your country’s strengths and weaknesses.
r Create the Foldable: Sponsors want you to show what you know. Survival is not just about knowing, it is also about showing your knowledge off.
o   **Warning: Your foldable is your final product, so you want it to be AMAZING! You should not begin working on your foldable until you have completed the Research & Analysis.
r Present your findings.

Each Tribute in your homeroom drew a different African country in the lottery. However, two other people (in other homerooms) will also be learning about this country… Your mission is to
become an expert on your country!

Of the three of you, who will know more? Who will show what they know best? Which homeroom will rise to the top??
